Permission Dope Awards require permission to feature a website and therefore sites must be submitted by the site officials/representatives and/or the design/development team. Please check the relevant boxes when filling out the submission form to confirm that you are one of these. Judging Dope Awards is all about finding and awarding sites that are “Dope”, that’s why for us the personality and impact that the site delivers are one of the most important criteria to judge. We also understand that in order for a site to successfully deliver it must be supported by other important elements, see below for our detailed judging criteria and process. Phase 1 The submitted site will undergo a full judging evaluation comprising of the following criteria: - Personality & Impact = 30% - Design & Graphics = 25% - Navigation & Usability = 25% - Originality = 10% - Content = 10% Phase 2 Sites that are awarded 85% or higher will then be re-evaluated and awarded either a Dope Award or a place in the recognition gallery. In general sites scoring 85%-89% will receive a place in the recognition gallery and sites scoring 90%-100% will win the coveted Dope Award, however we will sometimes award sites that received a lower overall score, but scored for example 99%-100% in any one individual category. So for example a site might receive 80% and not be passed into the Phase 2 of judging automatically, but if awarded 98%-100% in one of the criteria, for example Personality & Impact, then the site could be considered for place in the Recognition gallery or winner of a Dope Award. Receiving a score of 98%-100% on an individual criteria point would be very hard to achieve and would deem the site to be unique in that particular category. This approach ensures that Dope awards is full of sites that people want to see and be inspired by, not only sites that meet certain criteria. This is what sets Dope Awards apart. (please note: the percentage score for a site is for internal use only) Site of the Month At the end of each calendar month all sites that have been awarded and posted on Dope awards during that month will be re-visited and short listed down to the best 3 sites. One site will then be selected as the Site of the Month winner and re-posted on the site. Site of the year At the end of the year 12 Site of the Month winners enter the contest for the overall Dope Awards Site of the Year award. The 12 sites are narrowed down to the best 3, then the final round selects 1 site from the 3 for the coveted Site of the Year award. Exceptions We will not evaluate sites that: 1.Are cloned or made using a template. 2.Contain or promote pornography, violence, racism, hate, etc 3.Promote spam, bulk email, cracks, warez, etc 4.Contain illegal activity for example copyright infringement. 5.Do not respect their legal obligations for example privacy policies.
